Who is affected by allergies?

According to the Allergy and Asthma Foundation of America, more than 50 million people experience various types of allergies in the United States. Moreover, allergies are the sixth leading cause of chronic illness in the United States. People with allergies often have to avoid things and use medications to manage their symptoms. Allergic reactions can cause coughing, sneezing, hives, rashes, itchy eyes, a runny nose, or a scratchy throat. In more severe cases, it can cause low blood pressure, breathing trouble, asthma attacks, and even death if not treated properly. Allergies can begin at any age, and the medical community has no cure for allergies.

What causes allergies?

It says in Proverbs 17:22, “A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.”

From his research, Dr. Henry W. Wright knew that bone marrow was in the bones and it contributed to a healthy immune system. This verse indicates that a broken spirit can affect our immune systems. In our experience of working with thousands of people, a broken heart or broken spirit occurs in people’s lives spiritually when they are damaged by someone who was supposed to love them and didn’t.

We endeavor to help heal the brokenhearted as stated in Isaiah. In doing so, we have seen thousands of people’s immune systems restored, and they have been healed from simple and complex allergies.

The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; Isaiah 61:1 KJV

What does the Bible say about allergies?

If we have not been loved, covered, nurtured, forgiven, and accepted, then we often are in performance and perfectionism in order to be accepted and loved. When this happens, the thoughts and intentions of our hearts start to be ruled by fear. We are not meant to be afraid of others, and fear did not come from God. The Bible says God’s perfect love casts out fear.

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. 1 John 4:18 KJV

Unresolved fear, stress, and anxiety can affect our immune systems; allergies are a result of a compromised immune system. We have seen many people healed when they addressed the spiritual root causes of allergies.

Additionally, the Bible says we are meant to eat and enjoy everything that God created.

For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving; 1 Timothy 4:4 KJV

Can allergies be cured?
